Yeongcheon City Museum is located in the education/cultural area of Yeongcheon City, such as Hanui Village, Mahyeonsan Neighborhood Park, Korea Polytechnic University, and Civic Stadium.

It was planned for the purpose of becoming a central space for cultural development. This museum exhibit local cultural works which tell the Yeongcheon City’s identity and background.

It will be an open museum that can be accessed from various places along with the daily experience of the adjacent neighborhood park.

As a museum and lifelong educational facility that embraces young people, it will play a central role in the development of Yeongcheon’s identity. Yeongcheon Han’s village, which is on top of the hill, next to the museum’s side, is integrated with the idea to develop the identity of this city. Yeongcheon Han’s village and this museum is one whole cultural park. Therefore the accessibilities of between these two are important. The idea of village and small buildings is blended in the shape of the museum. The courtyard surrounded by the main masses and the roof terrace of the first floor create the experience of looking at the sky, which linked to the Bohyeonsan Observatory.

We expect that it will be able to demonstrate synergy while serving as a cultural facility through the connection of rows, parking lines and programs.
