Makersyard aims at creating a circular eco-system for Creative Makers to live, work and play. The Creative Community Hub is centered on the “Food Garden”. The “Food Garden” becomes a symbol of Circularity and is extended throughout the design. It is a connection point between creative studios, the material library, and houses and creative studios with outdoor workspaces. This and the surrounding structures have a “permanent character” for residents in the long term.
The design offers space for the short and long term. Short-term facilities are gathered as re-used containers at the crossing near the Ferro silo. This plaza intends to create a cultural hub with the Ferro Silo. It is carefully designed for short-term usage for events.
