A Hydrogen Refueling Station is a building constructed for filling a vehicle with hydrogen fuel. Hydrogen fuel is a zero-emission fuel created by combining hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) to produce electricity, heat and water. It is a promising alternative energy source.
Japan is aiming for 160 hydrogen refueling stations by the Olympic Games 2020.
A Japanese establisher of these stations is aiming for a different approach than the well-known practical design of the current gasoline stations. The challenge was to design an iconic station, which represents the Japanese hydrogen refueling stations: “Simple, clean like water, fun, kinetic functional and trendy”.
